"Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn"
As we leave Summer behind and fall into Autumn, I find myself reflecting on the past few months and the memories we have made. If I cast my mind all the way back to June, we had already begun experiencing high temperatures and muggy days. This meant one thing – time to update the wardrobe!
We gave you the infamous ‘Hope Dress’ and you absolutely loved it! In fact, you loved it so much we sold over 500 of those fabulous dresses!! You then gave us the pleasure of seeing how you chose to wear them; dressed up & down, at the races and wedding ready. It really was wonderful to see.
Now, I was missing for most of June as I’d jetted off to Florida for a couple of weeks – lucky me, right?! During my absence you got to know Donna who had recently joined us as part of the Customer Service Team and what a great job she did! Soon after my return I was ready to hand over the reigns as Head of Customer Experience and move into my new position as Head of PR. June was no quiet month - we also welcomed Charlotte as a Graphic Designer, Waldo as a Videographer and several new young members of the Warehouse Team were peering around the corner ready to pounce on Team Tillett.
By mid-July we couldn’t move for youthful energy in the warehouse as Ellie, Lilli-Rose and Yasmin were raring to go, quickly joined by our new Warehouse Manager, Mia. But no rest for the wicked as we were soon to be invaded by 12 Hungry VIP’s! Grace, Nancy, Mel and I joined the twelve ladies for lunch as they chatted and strategised their much-anticipated shopping trip. We had a wonderful time getting to know each and every one of these fascinating VIP’s and we are still incredibly humbled that you came all this way just to meet us and visit our store.
By the time August rolled around, our Grace was getting Hen-do ready and enjoying her last few weeks as a miss! We experienced some of the hottest temperatures on record and with the Jungle like heat we decided to embrace the Animal print…..Cue Wild Catwalk Montage!!……Sorry this is just a blog guys, I don’t have that kind of Hollywood media budget!
The days quickly pass by and as we enjoyed the sunshine we hoped and prayed that it would stick around for the wedding of the year and boy did it! A beautiful day and a beautiful bride, we couldn’t have asked for a better setting for Grace and Lewy. Positioned in the garden (ahem field) of Mr and Mrs T was a stunning marquee decorated to perfection by Grace’s attention to detail. As our very own Jess and Mia took on the role of Wedding Planners for the weekend, the rest of us sat back, relaxed and took in the amazing view and the very last of the summer air. It really was the perfect way to say goodbye to Summer.
So, here we are. Autumn has officially arrived; the jumpers are out, and the heating will soon be on. Whilst others may dread the dark nights and colder temperatures, I myself find the idea of Autumn truly magical. As the leaves turn orange and brown and begin to fall from the trees, it marks the beginning of a new chapter and the start of things yet to come. The air switches from the overwhelming aroma of home BBQ’s to bonfires and crisp mornings. All a sign that Autumn has unequivocally arrived, and the time has come to change your wardrobe once again.
With our new season launch over and the weather continuing to transition around us, we find ourselves knee deep in the most beautiful Autumn wear ready to share with you all. The question is…....are you ready for more?

Enjoyed reading your blog and it makes us all feel part of a family . Have just loved the clothes I’ve bought and at 62 I don’t want to wear clothes that make me feel old so Tilletts makes me feel good . What a lovely Company Tilletts is. I only got to hear about you in July but soon realised it was not just a company selling womens clothing but a wonderful team of ladies called team Tilletts who actually care about their customers and encourage each and every one of us to feel good about ourselves and once joining Tilletts VIPs I realised how supportive not only its members are of each other but how supportive Team Tilletts are by joining in with us. I myself have found myself being encouraged to wear colourful joggers and yes shorts which I had given up wearing years ago and as a bonus being told when I wore them how good I looked in them . Not had the courage to post on VIP though as yet! So thank you to Mel and Team Tilletts for caring about and treating your customers in the way you do.
I enjoyed reading your blog I think we are all very fortunate to be able to purchase items from a business like Tilletts ,the service we all receive from Tilletts is wonderful,the staff go out of their way to accommodate ,which brings me to the point I am trying to make thank you Sheryl for all the trouble u went through working out the problem it go with out saying I know we are in good hands with a family like Tilletts xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
